Students will be practicing Good Test Taking Behavior in preparations for the Smarter Balanced statewide assessment. 4th Grade students will take the Reading assessment May 2-6 and the Math assessment May 9-13.
Students will be practicing assessing their READING skills on the Interim SBA, Hawaii's standardized state assessment. This practice round will introduce the students to the test format, best strategies for test-taking and current reading comprehension. The 3 day/session test will simulate the official SBA students will take at the end of April, 2016. Please view this video to learn more about this very important summative test.
Students will be assessing their reading comprehension skills this week, with a Wonders Unit 3 summative test. Students will read short passages and respond to the written prompt using text evidence to support their response.
Students are practicing multiplication fact memorization so that they can be super efficient at solving problems involving more complex multiplication. Every week, students take a timed test of 50 questions in four minutes, on their fact level, progressing as shown in this photo. With the mastery of each level, students will build an ice cream sundae on paper. Once all facts are mastered up to 12x12, the paper becomes a real sundae! It's hard work but worth it! Have fun practicin
